♥ AND THE ONE WITH STAR WARS LEGO BB-8 ♥

Happy (belated) Force Friday!
Working a Toy Shop has many perks but seeing some of the new toy line for 'The Last Jedi' ahead of time (as they come in on delivery with embargo dates on the box) is one of the best perks! I knew I needed this as soon as I saw it! Lego BB-8!

The set retails for £84.99 which is a really good price for the amount of bricks, build time and functionality (the head movement is amazing but more on that in a few).
The set has over 1,100 pieces (over six bags) which also includes a stand a mini figure of BB-8.
The model is free standing without the use of the actual stand and can actually be positioned at angles  which is a really interesting function as it gives real life to the model and a lot of personality!
The build was relatively straight forward, the most challenging part was the mechanism which is hidden inside which controls the head movement and the lighter flame thumbs up movement but even that is simple. The build is even colour coded one side being yellow and the other blue just to make sure everything is matching up the way it should!
The two panels either side control move movements which are connected to the inner components I just talking about. One side controls the head movement and the other the 'Thumbs up'.
I remember seeing The Force Awakens for the first time in the cinema and the lighter thumbs up from BB-8 got a loud cheer! I think it was the moment everybody fell in love with this droid including me so I am so happy they included it within this model!
The stand out function to this model defiantly has to be the head movement, again its connected to the inner workings of the set and the head piece is built separately. The head moves in all directions and even 360 and replicates the actual movement of BB-8 in the movie really well! The combination of the tilting of the model and the moment of the head is fantastic!
